The Power Of A Testimony

Hi everyone..today I'm posting a testimony from a dear friend. We will be posting testimonies from time to time to encourage believers to continue pressing forward. So if you have a testimony and would love to share it with other readers we encourage you to email us(email address at the bottom).

I greet you all in Jesus name. It is a wonderful privilege to share the beauty of God's work in my life. After matriculating high school back in 2004, I started a new job in the retail industry at a store. I worked under good management as the owners were believers and the store was governed by Christian principles. I had been there ten years but came to a place of bitterness as I desired more out of life. 

That's when it happened, a lady approached me in the store one day and asked for my c.v. As she wanted to offer me an opportunity to train and work at a banking institution. She wasn't even Christian and I can only count that as the favour of God. Soon enough I started my training.

 All went well..until the end of 2014 when I had just finished my studies and practicals. I became very ill and ended up in the i.c.u. and landed in a coma for almost a month. I guess everyone thought that was the end of me but God had other plans. Whilst in hospital I knew I had family and friends praying for my recovery and that was great but I also  knew God had something greater for me. I soon recovered, had lost a lot of weight but soon picked it back up and a whole lot more.

Today, I'm still working and in one of the biggest financial institutions in the country. And God has simply blessed me with so much and still more to come. I want to encourage everyone who reads this that God is still able to work wonders..So even if you're going through a difficult time at your place of work, at home or even an illness that seems to be consuming you. I want to remind you that God can and will come through for you only just remain obedient. And remember your testimony is there to carry others through difficult times too. Where ever I am i always share my testimony and I hope you will too.

So I thank you once again for allowing me to share with you of what God can do when you trust him wholly.

Book Review: Beyond Blessed - Courtesy Of Struik Christian Media

A brave book indeed! My initial thought when I picked this book up was that it was going to be just like every other 'Christian' book out there on finances.  But to my surprise, that whilst the central theme is finance, the author talks more about other aspects surrounding finance which leads up to good financial habits. He addresses the issues on carrying too much debt and even budgeting.  It's a great all rounder, that covers all basic necessities of the financial arena from a thorough Biblical perspective. There is a companion book that was written before this one called ' The Blessed Life.' I managed to get a copy of it at a book sale, but haven't had the opportunity of reading it yet. But will get around to it soon, hopefully.  I would suggest getting a copy of this book. In fact every family should have a copy of it.
