                 Where You There ?

Tell me what did you see ?
Where you there ?
To see His hands and feet laid bare
How could you dare
To put my Lord there ?

I'm guilty too
And so are you
For our lives He bought
Whilst the great battle He fought

Have we not failed
To put Him on the cross He was nailed too
Have we no fear
To use that spear ?
To  pierce His side
Oh Lord, why can't I hide ?

For us He died
Where you there ?
Looks to me you didn't care!
Did you use that hammer ?
Did you pound in the nails ?
He took it in for us all
Because of that dreadful Fall

Tell me, where you there ?
Maybe not, but yes!
We Were There!
Because He remembered us fair.

For on that Cross He hung,
As Redemption's song was finally sung.

I've had a passion for poetry for as long as I can remember. This poem was written around 17 years ago(I think).

Book Review: Beyond Blessed - Courtesy Of Struik Christian Media

A brave book indeed! My initial thought when I picked this book up was that it was going to be just like every other 'Christian' book out there on finances.  But to my surprise, that whilst the central theme is finance, the author talks more about other aspects surrounding finance which leads up to good financial habits. He addresses the issues on carrying too much debt and even budgeting.  It's a great all rounder, that covers all basic necessities of the financial arena from a thorough Biblical perspective. There is a companion book that was written before this one called ' The Blessed Life.' I managed to get a copy of it at a book sale, but haven't had the opportunity of reading it yet. But will get around to it soon, hopefully.  I would suggest getting a copy of this book. In fact every family should have a copy of it.
