Book Review: Glory Zone In The War Zone - Courtesy Of Struik Christian Media

Wow! This is simply a masterpiece from Andrew White. It borders more on the semi autobiographical style of writing. Its a personal testimony of what the author experienced in the many years that he spent in Israel, Iraq and Jordan.

He worked as negotiater on behalf of Israel with Palestine in the past. But his work mostly, was within the Iraqi people in Bhagdad and the military as well. He worked with the Christians there in the war torn parts of the country. He worked as a minister building the congregation and as a medical doctor, as that was his previous occupation before being called into ministry.


This book serves not only as his testimony but also the testimony of the Iraqi people. That in the midst of such horrors and pain, the people worshipped with such fervour that one could say their passion exceeded those who had everything in our western cultured churches. 

The book is filled with many testimonials that proves the healing power of God to those who are faith-filled even though they didn't have much. Their courage is a lesson we could learn from. I certainly have. The courage of children facing off with terrorists and did not deny their Lord. The provisions of God in protection and divine providence is an everyday kind of life for these people. And for some, even in death it was an honour to serve God. 

This book will certainly add to your faith, build your courage even further and strengthen in times of absolute darkness. It will bring a glimmer of hope to see the workings of God from a different perspective. 

Hopefully as you read, it will turn you away from taking God everyday for granted in the little things that occur in life. 

This is one of those books that will inspire and make a difference. There were moments it brought tears to my eyes, both of sadness and joy. 

I encourage you, get a copy and shape your desire that will move you to the next level of your faith in God. Experience God's Glory for yourself and your family!

Book Review: Beyond Blessed - Courtesy Of Struik Christian Media

A brave book indeed! My initial thought when I picked this book up was that it was going to be just like every other 'Christian' book out there on finances.  But to my surprise, that whilst the central theme is finance, the author talks more about other aspects surrounding finance which leads up to good financial habits. He addresses the issues on carrying too much debt and even budgeting.  It's a great all rounder, that covers all basic necessities of the financial arena from a thorough Biblical perspective. There is a companion book that was written before this one called ' The Blessed Life.' I managed to get a copy of it at a book sale, but haven't had the opportunity of reading it yet. But will get around to it soon, hopefully.  I would suggest getting a copy of this book. In fact every family should have a copy of it.
