Book Review: Better Together - Courtesy Of Struik Christian Media

Danielle Strickland is striking at the heart in her book. This is much more than what the title suggests. It can break the political divide seen in our country at present. It goes beyond that to the work place, home and even our churches.

She has many years of experience and that proves vital in her writing this book.
In this book, one can clearly see the passion behind her writing - Jesus. 

She confronts the ideas that drive men and women apart and brings in practical solutions that bring men and women together, helping them help each other and bringing them to not only work together but also to a place of mutual respect and friendship.

This book is a magnificent read as it helps the reader to understand the undercurrents of those things that work against men and women working together. Strickland confronts the negativity surrounding our sexuality and allows us to see with clear Biblical perspective of how we were created to work together since the very beginning of time 

My favourite twochapters are ten and eleven, where I think she drives all her points home 

This book is quite necessary in our day, across the world and most especially in South Africa given the circumstances plaguing our country. This book will open the mind and bring us together, working for the common good and a better future not only for us but for our children too.

It's a great read for politicians and church leaders alike, for everyone who has a desire to seeing people working together.

I enjoyed it and I hope you will too, it will blow your mind!

Book Review: Beyond Blessed - Courtesy Of Struik Christian Media

A brave book indeed! My initial thought when I picked this book up was that it was going to be just like every other 'Christian' book out there on finances.  But to my surprise, that whilst the central theme is finance, the author talks more about other aspects surrounding finance which leads up to good financial habits. He addresses the issues on carrying too much debt and even budgeting.  It's a great all rounder, that covers all basic necessities of the financial arena from a thorough Biblical perspective. There is a companion book that was written before this one called ' The Blessed Life.' I managed to get a copy of it at a book sale, but haven't had the opportunity of reading it yet. But will get around to it soon, hopefully.  I would suggest getting a copy of this book. In fact every family should have a copy of it.
