Wishing You A Merry Christmas

We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all our beloved readers and your precious families a beautiful Christmas ahead. May you see the Hand of our Magnificent God in your lives as you take the time to reflect on the Love of our Saviour this Christmas.


We would also like to thank you for showing your support throughout the past year in reading our weekly articles and book reviews.  We appreciate the time you take to visit us at our blog. And we pray you would continue in through the next year and do spread the word as we endeavour to teach accurately from God's precious word.

Personally I'd like to say thank you to Pastor Sam Machaka and his dear wife Mildred for all of their contributions to The Passionate Believer blog. We continue to pray for the Lord's blessing upon them for all their hard work at Brink Ministries Southern Africa, which currently operates from Malawi. (P.S. Pastor Sam's new book 'Renewing Your Marriage' is out BUT more on that in the coming weeks). 

A thank you also to Lee-Anne and all at Struik Christian Media (SCM), for their gracious provision of the books that we do the reviews on. Thank you for all the hard work that you do.

And my heartfelt gratitude to my Beautiful wife Sarah, for all of her love and support. Appreciate all that you do for our family. 

And finally, to the Lord Almighty! All praise is due to His Name for bringing us through yet another year filled with challenges and the Blessings too!

Book Review: Beyond Blessed - Courtesy Of Struik Christian Media

A brave book indeed! My initial thought when I picked this book up was that it was going to be just like every other 'Christian' book out there on finances.  But to my surprise, that whilst the central theme is finance, the author talks more about other aspects surrounding finance which leads up to good financial habits. He addresses the issues on carrying too much debt and even budgeting.  It's a great all rounder, that covers all basic necessities of the financial arena from a thorough Biblical perspective. There is a companion book that was written before this one called ' The Blessed Life.' I managed to get a copy of it at a book sale, but haven't had the opportunity of reading it yet. But will get around to it soon, hopefully.  I would suggest getting a copy of this book. In fact every family should have a copy of it.
