Book Review: Unlocking Wealth From The Courts Of Heaven - Courtesy Of Struik Christian Media

The best parts of this book is the personal testimonies and personal stories that Robert Henderson shares, especially around finance. There's something about personal and intimate tellings that grab your attention. 

To be quite honest I was abit sceptical at first about reading this book. Or any book concerning finance. You can't just pick up anything and read. But this one's alittle bit different in comparison to others.

As much as Henderson shares his life in these pages, he doesn't only speak about giving as others do. He talks much about sin and how certain things are held back because there's no repentance. He goes into pain-staking detail describing the principles laid out in the scriptures. He does cover the areas of giving but the gist of the book deals with the legalities intertwined with our understanding of finances from a Biblical perspective. For example, because of unrepented sin the enemy can and will devour us but with a heart of humility and understanding our position before a holy God, we can overcome sin and allow God to work in our lives and seeing many breakthroughs, especially in the areas of personal finance. 

Using scripture he defines how God views money and wealth and how we need to tweak our thought processes to align with God's. It's an amazing read and there aren't many authors out there who are well versed in speaking out on such matters. Robert Henderson is one of those few.

Book Review: Beyond Blessed - Courtesy Of Struik Christian Media

A brave book indeed! My initial thought when I picked this book up was that it was going to be just like every other 'Christian' book out there on finances.  But to my surprise, that whilst the central theme is finance, the author talks more about other aspects surrounding finance which leads up to good financial habits. He addresses the issues on carrying too much debt and even budgeting.  It's a great all rounder, that covers all basic necessities of the financial arena from a thorough Biblical perspective. There is a companion book that was written before this one called ' The Blessed Life.' I managed to get a copy of it at a book sale, but haven't had the opportunity of reading it yet. But will get around to it soon, hopefully.  I would suggest getting a copy of this book. In fact every family should have a copy of it.
