Book Review: Multiply Your God-Given Potential - Courtesy Of Struik Christian Media

John Bevere's books are all masterpieces and this one is no exception. As the title suggests we all have potential gifts that can be multiplied and be a blessing to others.

Each chapter flows into the next and it wouldn't be fair to any reader looking at the contents page and jumping into any specific chapter. The book should be read as a whole to glean on the principles of scripture.

He systematically lays out the foundation of explaining what 'gifts' and 'talents' are by using parables from the scriptures. He does so masterfully intertwining personal experience and holds nothing back in speaking about fears and failures but more so in finding the resolution to those mistakes that he speaks about.

This book isn't a sad and dreary book about Christian motivation and theology. It is so much more. Bevere ignites passion in his readers as can be seen in the passion with which he writes. It's a page turner and doesn't belong on a shelf somewhere collecting dust.

Every professing Christian deserves to read this book. It will cause a stirring within the heart of the reader to want to follow and search hard in the scriptures to know the God of the scriptures.

He captured my attention in the last couple chapters when he talks about the 'Sinner's Prayer'. And because of that I know in part where he stands theologically and that excites me. And if this grabs your attention too, I humbly suggest you grab a copy and check it out for yourself.

At the end of each chapter you will find around 3 questions to reflect upon what was just read. It calls for deep meditation in your own personal relationship with the Lord.

Finally, every Christian needs a copy of this book. It's not just simply for Christian leaders and lay leaders as much as they would benefit from having it too.

It's a wonderful call to do so much more than what we believe we're called to do. And you will never know how much you're capable of doing unless you try.

If you've been following this blog and haven't had the chance to get any of the books mentioned here in months past. This one book you cannot afford not to have. If you desire to do so much more in your local church and wish to experience more in understanding God's intention for every gift and talent that He has bestowed upon you in relation to His will in your life then please don't miss this opportunity to explore this book even further.

Doesn't matter who you are or whether you're a Christian leader or not, Please go get a copy of this book at your local Christian bookstore or check out the links below to get your copy.

"We must have passionate desire to know our charisma (gifts). Hopefully, this book is fueling a burning desire in you to discover and engage your giftings. This longing will prevent you from a nonchalant asking, seeking, or knocking, and instead you will be persistent, as Jesus describes above. It's not that God's holding out on you. He wants a passion developed in you for what you're asking for." (Page 226 - 227)

Happy reading and much Blessings,

Shane.
